NEW HACK (BEWARE!)

Hello. I'm here to inform you (and also warn you, of course) of a new hack that is going around Jamaa.

For the past several weeks a lot of people, innocent people, have been getting hacked. Most of these hackers can be found in popular places, like famous Jammers' dens for example.

Here's how this hack works: a random stranger will ask you if you want to chat on ''sky'' (Skype). Once you start chatting, the hacker goes into action. Sometimes they'll send you a link that, when clicked, downloads a virus that logs your keystrokes. Other times they'll pretend to generate items for you, want to share screens with you, somehow get personal information such as your address, etc.

Here are some pictures of people (belonging to frostyandraven) trying to use this new hack:

(Funny story - about a year ago I caught this dude, har19131, scamming. Makes perfect sense as to why he would want to hack people. :/)

Earlier today a Jammer named sina made a video about this new hack. Here it is:

Whatever you do, don't give out your Skype to random people EVER. Not just during these dark days... NEVER give out your Skype to someone you just barely met online.

Stay safe, everyone!

  2. Yikes!!! Another type of scamming?!? At least I will be safe from this, I don't even have Skype, and even if I did, I wouldn't be allowed to use it with strangers anyway.

Thanks for letting us know Naffy :)

    1. No problem! I don't have a Skype either, and I'm kind of glad I don't.

  4. Nafi I'm really scared... This weird audio file started playing on your blog. A man started talking in a really low voice, I couldn't tell what he was saying, and then there was a weird noise. A minute later this lady said "Hi there." in a really CREEPY voice.

    3. It was from your blog. It stopped once I closed the tab. Also when I hovered over the tab it said the website contains audio.

  6. Yikes! Good thing I don't use Skype! But I agree with Sarahkey8, I dunno why you would even want to Skype with a stranger.

  7. I have a skype, but don't use it. Definitely gonna be carful anyhow. My worst nightmare is to be hacked and lose everything I've worked for, most importantly my buddies.
