The Last Post of 2016

Hi Jammers! It's New Year's Eve! :)

2016 was a great year for Animal Jam. Many new pets, animals, and features were added... things that changed the game for the better. My favorite new addition of 2016 to AJ was definitely the masterpieces. What was yours? :)

Red Icicle Horn

Hi Jammers! Today I am going to be talking about a new, very rare, possibly glitched item that has caught many people's attention in the game.

I'm sure you all know what an icicle horn is. They were one of the gifts for the 2016 Jamaaliday Advent Calendar earlier this month.

It comes in a variety of colors, but for some reason it's not available in red. Can you tell where this is going?

Somehow, a red icicle horn, maybe multiple, as popped up in the game. How exactly it came to be is currently unknown. Perhaps it was given out to only a few players during the advent, or maybe it's glitched. We aren't certain.

But whatever the case, there is no doubt that this red horn is extremely rare. Lovewithsongz traded quite a few headdresses for the item. Interesting!

Skorm vs. Aparri

Hello Jammers! Sadly today is not an update day, so for now, I am going to be discussing the latest and greatest (ha, not really ''great'') AJ drama.

Yesterday, a handful of popular Jammers were banned. These Jammers include Skorm, Typicalrocky, and Jurshy.

According to AJHQ, the reason these people were banned is because they were caught selling items on eBay for real life money. This is a big problem that's been going on for years now.

Before we continue with the post, let's lay this statement down flat on the ground: DON'T EVER SELL ITEMS FOR MONEY. It violates the Animal Jam rules and guarantees a permanent ban to your account. It's not worth all of the trouble.

Now that that's settled, let's continue with the story.

Skorm, as well as the others who were banned, admitted and apologized for their mistakes. Skorm said that he sold items that he received from fans during live streams, and made over $2,000. He also said that he felt bad that he let down his fans and promised to never do it again.

However, AJHQ had a different plan up their sleeves and permanently banned any players that were in on Skorm's gig.

As a result of this, Skorm blew up and threw a huge hissy fit on Instagram. He blamed Aparri for convincing AJHQ to ban him, Typical, and Josh (Jurshy). Aparri denies it.

So, in recap, here are the two main sides to the story:

Skorm's Side: Sold items on eBay for real money, AJHQ banned his account, blames Aparri for convincing AJHQ to ban him

Aparri's Side: Believes Skorm got what he deserves, denies having any form of input into banning Skorm

My Opinion: I think that banning Skorm and the others was the right thing to do. After all, they did violate the Animal Jam rules. But I'm not sure about the whole ''Aparri is to blame" deal.

The funniest part about this drama, though, is the fact that AJHQ ACTUALLY REMOVED SKORM FROM THEIR YOUTUBE CHANNEL ART.

Deer Minibook Quiz Cheats

Hello! ^.^

I believe it was a little over a week ago when the last update was released, and in that update, deer came back. Usually when there's a new or returning animal, AJHQ puts a new minibook for us to look at in the Chamber of Knowledge. In the back of each of those minibooks is a quiz that you can take. If you answer all five questions correctly, you get a prize!

So, today I will be giving you guys the answers to the deer quiz. :3

Series 2 Adopt-A-Pet Play Houses to Come Soon

Hey guys! I have some exciting news to share!

On the toys section of the Animal Jam website, it says that a second series of the Adopt-A-Pet play houses is coming soon!

The Treasure Chests set was recently released, and hopefully soon we'll see a series two of those adorable teensy pets.

Dug and Rose Masterpieces

GUYS!!! It's Christmas Eve! Or, more generally speaking, it's Jamaalidays Eve! What are your plans for the next couple of days? ^.^

I thought I'd post something rather laid back today, so...

Uhh... yesterday I made a masterpiece of Dug from Up. You all know how much I love that puppy.

I think the eyes, the legs, and the overall shape of the lower body could use some tweaks, but overall I'm pretty proud of my creation!

Speaking of masterpieces, have you seen Karalee's amazing digital drawing of a rose!? I was wandering through buddies' dens the other night and I found just one of many examples of Karalee's stupendous artistic talent.

Dang! The amount of talent that some people have in this game is beyond my belief.

My main animal is a deer, and I'm sure you all know that. My favorite colors are mint green and purple, I don't necessarily like cats but I do petsit my neighbor's kitty, I've never actually bought diamonds before, I joined in August 2011, which was almost a year after beta ended, I don't watch Dan and Phil's videos, I like some of TOP's songs but I'm not a diehard fan, my eye color is blueish-green, I don't watch Netflix, and I have no idea who Brendon Urie is, but I've heard of him before.
