Hey Jammers! You might already be a bit familiar with the main topic of today's post, but I just thought it would be a good idea to warn those of you who haven't been warned already.
Lately, there's been a new scam going around Jamaa. Remember those golden bunny pets I talked about a while ago? The ones you can get by typing in a promo code from a certain Animal Jam toy? Yep, those are the ones!
Well, according to AJHQ, recently there's been a glitch with the golden bunnies where the rare tag isn't showing up. As a result of this error, lots of unethical people are creating pet bunnies with the similar design and colors to appear like a legit golden bunny, and a bunch of Jammers are getting tricked into trading for these pets.
Here are some ways you can distinguish the differences between the real deal and the fake deal.

Here are some ways you can distinguish the differences between the real deal and the fake deal.
REAL:
- Check the adoption certificate for this pet for confirmation that it is the legitimate promo pet.
- This bunny will have a metallic, hard, solid gold color, as well as noticeable sparkle effect
FAKE:
- This bunny has more of a macaroni and cheese yellow color to it, and there is no sparkle effect
I hope you found this post helpful. Happy jamming everyone. Be safe!
To be honest, I like the fake golden bunny better. But I got scammed by this method before anyone told anyone about it.
ReplyDeleteI've actually never seen the golden bunny beforeXD
ReplyDelete!WARNING!
ReplyDeleteI know of another new scam. The knitted sweater scam. The basic pink knitted sweater actually looks MAGENTA on bunnies and on trade lists. I have seen people asking for large amounts for these.
Please spread the word

Actually, there's another way I found! On the certificate, the favorite foods & toys each have the word "Golden" in front of them! And, the eyes on the golden bunny are golden while the fake ones are black.
ReplyDeleteI actually just got scammed for this a couple of days ago.:P It was just a magenta eyeball so nothing special. ^.^
