Attention All Minecraft Players...

Does herobrine really exist? My brother and I were debating on his existence, and I want to know some key information. Could someone tell me the story behind herobrine and all that jazz? Thanks! :)

  1. I know for a fact he is real. I have the old version of Minecraft on Xbox (because I don't have xbox live) and sometimes on the loading screen it says, " We think 4J Studios has removed Herobrine from the xbox360 game but we're not too sure." Plus I put a Herobrine spawner on one of my worlds and I'm pretty sure the spawner moved. Nothing else happened after that. Herobrine sightings are mostly seen when people have xbox live so I believe you can only get him if you have that. If you're on the computer I think you can just spawn him and he will come. I'm not sure though because I've never played the computer version. I think I've had Herobrine on pocket edition but he was just on the world I don't remember trying to spawn him. Well, I hope this helped! If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them! :)

    1. I have an Xbox One. But the real question I have follows this story line:

Today I played Minecraft. I decided to go chop down a few trees to make some wood. As I stepped out of the house, suddenly an arrow shot me. I looked around for a Skeleton, but nothing was to be found. Then, merely seconds later, the whole right side of my house is blown up. I can only suspect it was a Creeper, but that was nowhere to be found either.

Is it a glitch that these monsters are invisible? My brother suspected it was herobrine controlling the monsters, and that's what got us into an argument. But I don't think it was herobrine because there wasn't a white-eyed Steve around. What was it?

  2. Idk. I don't play MC. Apparently he's the designers dead brother.(which he denined). Others say he's a Swedish gamer. According to some he's a glitch/virus like fman only part of the game. That's why they say his head twitches. I once found a video that says he was the first person to dig straight down and fell into lava. Apparently there was a way to bring him back to life. According to a person who was obsessed with herobrine once said if you see him your map shows manmade stuff and trying contact other players about it is useless. They say they got a message that said "Please stop.". I'm pretty sure that was just a cp though. I have seen pictures and videos of him but idk if he's real. That's all I know.

  3. Herobrine is not a real character, he was just a "creepypasta" (if he even counts as one lol)
While he's not actually in the game, the developers commonly reference him

  4. Herobrine is simply a running joke. Everyone is scared of him, but he isn't real. Some people on servers dress up in Herobrine skins to scare people and grief (destroy houses). Using a dispenser and a pressure plate you can make arrows shoot, and then with red stone you can make tnt blow up a house in seconds.

If your brother is trying to convince you of his existance, then that probably means he isn't real. I used to be scared of this Minecraft 'bogey man' but I'm definitely over him now.

    1. But we didn't have any reset one or TNT or pressure plates. Something was destroying our world, in the daytime, impossible to see.

  5. I don't know much about Xbox live, but I'd it has multiplayer that means people are pranking. Notch is having to say a billion times that Herobrine doesn't exist.

It's a little amusing to see players freak over him, and my brother did a prank once on a server. Some plugins and mods for the pc version add Herobrine, but he isn't in the original, unmodded 'Vanilla' Minecraft.

  6. Are you on a two player or a multiplayer server?

    1. I was on a multiplayer server because I was playing with my siblings, but we were all inside the house except for me, because I was being hit by arrows.

    1. The creators repeatedly said he isn't real, but they like to prank the noobs with 'removed Herobrine'.

  11. I'm pretty sure he's fake.
I honestly don't know the story.
Most of the "real" Herobrines are trolls.
