AJHQ at a Licensing Expo

Hi Jammers! Did you know that AJHQ had a booth at a licensing expo in London this past week? Here's a picture of it:

Doesn't it look awesome!? The walls are filled with awesome Animal Jam backgrounds and graphics, the furniture is cute and colorful, and, better yet, the shelves are lined with epic AJ toys and merchandise! It's a bit hard to see the products, but I believe some of them might be unreleased.

Pretty cool, huh?

Oh, I almost forgot! My friend made a late entry to the item design contest that was held not too long ago, so she just submitted it for fun.

Nice job, cookies4ever8!

Well, that's all for today. Nothing too big or exciting, I suppose.

Thanks for reading nonetheless! Bye!

New Journey Book Page: Call of the Alphas Journey Book 2.0 Guide

Hello Jammers! I've got some cool news for you today.

In the recent update, a new Journey Book page was added! It wasn't announced in the Jamaa Journal, so that's probably why not very many people know about it.

The truth is, it's not entirely a brand new page; instead, a little side Journey Book page was added to the Call of the Alphas one.

See what I mean? Also, by the looks of it, it seems like we'll be getting a third one sometime in the near future.

Now, I'm sure you've all been waiting for the guide part of this post, so without any further delay, here it is!

Call of the Alphas 2.0

Peck's Chalk

Sir Gilbert's Medal

Cosmo's Elixir

Greely's Lockpicks

Graham's Gears

Liza's Knapsack

Your page is complete, and you receive an awesome Alpha Fountain!

Thanks for reading everybody. Happy jamming!

Rest in Peace, Club Geoz

Hey Jammers! Happy Friday the 13th... mwahahaha...

Welcome to the Animal Jam Whip blog. I'm Naffy, and I'm both somewhat confused and upset.

Why, you may ask?

Because of THIS...

In case you haven't read the latest Jamaa Journal (which I assume isn't the case for most of you, so y'all probably already know what's going on), apparently the so-called lines of power flowing through Jamaa have somehow caused Club Geoz to topple over and collapse on itself; consequently, Club Geoz's doors have closed for good.

Umm... what!?! I am NOT OKAY with this!

Obviously the doors of Club Geoz haven't truly ''closed for good'... right!? AJHQ is probably just trying to scare us. Besides, they said the Alphas are busy investigating the incident, so all will soon be well because SMART, INTELLIGENT animals like PECK are trying to figure out what happened.

Okay, I was being a bit sarcastic there, but in all honestly, I really hope Club Geoz is restored to its former glory. I hope they don't remove it from the game completely, because while Club Geoz isn't the most popular place, it's still a great spot to host parties and just chill with your buddies.

I wouldn't mind it too much if Club Geoz was renovated, but only if slight changes were made. If there were to be a Club Geoz 2.0, I would hate for it to be completely different from the original.

Humph.

I guess there's one good thing about this circumstance; when you click on the purple music note banner, a secret shop opens up, and you can buy a cool DJ headset. It's a bit expensive, but hey, it's for all Jammers!

Speaking of secret items, you can find these phantom stepping stones in the new AJHQ-designed Epic Haunted Manor den:

But wait... wasn't the last pre-customized den an Epic Haunted Manor as well? Hmm...

Also, while I was exploring that den, I noticed two small details.

WHY DOESN'T A WHITE TALL PHANTOM STATUE EXIST!?! It looks amazing! It reminds me of that glitched phantom-in-a-box item. I would really love to see one of these in stores someday.

Secondly, WHY DON'T PHANTOM VORTEX ITEMS EXIST!?! We've seen them before in a Daily Explorer post from long ago, so why can't they just be released? Although, now I that I think about it, that would surely defeat the whole purpose of the vortex - to be a special Night of the Phantoms tradition that only lasts during the holiday. Gosh, Nafaria, you're so stupid.

Anyways... what else was included in this update?

Oh yeah, not much.

Right after we got the announcement that Club Geoz had fallen, the Jamaa Journal told us that falcons have returned. I never even knew they left. Oops.

The next page is a little more interesting. There's a new item called the Phantomizer, and you can buy it in the Diamond Shop for three diamonds. Members only, by the way. If you put it in your den and walk under the purple goop, you turn into a phantom, similar to how you put on a phantom disguise for a short period of time in one of the Adventures. I forgot which one. Oops again.

Like the Adventure, the disguise only stays on while you are in your den. It's a shame it doesn't work outside of your den, though.

The fourth page is pretty bland. It announces the return of pet bats and the Spooky Party. The page after that is also boring, because it's literally just an advertisement for the new AJ Sticker App that debuted several weeks ago.

The next page, however, is a lot better.

Whenever you hear ''strange snapshot'' or ''peculiar picture'' or whatever in the Jamaa Journal, you know you're most likely going to have a hint to a new animal. This hint features four colorful tails hanging from a tree, as well as a hummingbird perched on a branch. Based on recent discoveries, I have concluded that the new animal is a red panda!

The last three pages of the newspaper are also kind of lame. There's a new retail gift card bonus bundle, and this time, it's arctic fox-themed. But wait... didn't we already have an arctic fox bundle? Wow, two in one day, guys! *sigh*

The last two pages just mention the Phantom Box and the fact that lynxes are now traveling. As we all know, when an animal in Jamaa returns from their unnecessary expeditions, another has to leave! Hooray!

I'm sorry if I'm being a little negative about the vast majority of the things included in the recent update, but... come on. You can't deny that it wasn't the best.

This post turned out to be a lot lengthier than I expected, but nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed! Feel free to express your thoughts on this week's Jamaa Journal in the comments. Vent your heart out. I clearly did so here.

Thanks for reading. Bye Jammers!

The Mysterious Purple Adopt-A-Pet Series 1 House

Whew, that title sure was a mouthful.

Anyways, hi Jammers! How are you all doing on this fine fall day? It's been really cold lately where I live. It feels like November instead of October. The summer was so hot, and all of the sudden these past few weeks the temperature has just plummeted drastically. It's crazy!

Enough of my rambling. Let's just get to the point here. Recently, I received an email from stellamonkey09. She said that she found a purple Adopt-A-Pet Series 1 house from Michael's craft store one day when she was out shopping. Here is a picture of it that was attached to the email:

The picture quality isn't too great, but you can still see that the house is truly a violet color. The original houses come in orange, blue, green, and pink.

I've never seen anything like this before, and after doing lots of research, I still have yet to find another purple house.

Now, I'm no expert when it comes to toys and manufacturing and all that jazz, but I think this house was either painted incorrectly, or it's a prototype, but I'm leaning towards the first idea because that seems more likely.

What do you guys think the reasoning is behind this oddly colored toy? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Bye Jammers!

1.025 Million Views Party Pictures

Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long to get these pictures out from the party on Saturday. Anyways, we had lots of fun playing games, doing a costume contest/fashion show, and telling spooky stories! Big thanks to everyone who could make it, and those who couldn't were missed!

Playing in the leaf pile!

It's the conga line of costumes!

Spooky stories around the campfire...

Sneezy, Doomy, and some others were having a very deep and intellectual conversation about scallops.

In this round of the fashion show, the theme is ''skeleton''! Look at all of the awesome costumes!

LOL!

Could Red Pandas Be the Next AJ Animal?

Hi Jammers! Welcome back to the Animal Jam Whip. Today, we're going to be discussing red pandas, and how they have a very high chance of becoming the next animal to come to Jamaa.

Red pandas made their first appearance in Mt. Shiveer when the Journey Book for that specific land was released. Ever since then, I often find people awestruck by its cute design, which leads them to wonder if red pandas will ever become an actual animal that we can play as.

Then, about a month and a half ago, red pandas were introduced to AJPW (Animal Jam - Play Wild!). You can imagine how people REALLY got hyped here, thinking that red pandas had the possibility to become officially canon after this update.

Well, I'm not sure how long it's been since this change was made, but I believe this discovery might raise the chances of red pandas coming to Jamaa by quite a bit.

AJHQ updated their Membership Benefits page, and one of the slides it shows an image of a group of animals. Yes, one of those animals just so happens to be what looks like a red panda!

I suppose it's not actually red in the picture, so... it's a tangerine panda! Hahaha.

Anyways, some people in this community are skeptical and say it's just a raccoon, but if you look at a graphic of a raccoon and compare it to the red panda, it's easy to tell the differences. Others believe it's just a red panda from Play Wild, since it has a very similar design to the Play Wild red pandas. But on each of the slides that specifically state the membership benefits on Play Wild, there's a small blue stamp with the initials ''PW''. This slide has an AJ stamp.

Since this fresh look to the Membership Benefits page was added fairly recently, I'm assuming that within the next couple of updates or so, we'll get an announcement that AJHQ is working on a new animal, and I'm almost positive it's going to be a red panda.

What do you guys think? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for reading. See ya later!

Jammer Opinions #2: Headdresses

Hi Jammers! Welcome back for the second volume of Jammer Opinions. This segment is all about headdresses, but before we get into the interviewing random Jammers part of the post, let's discuss the history of headdresses and why some people might not like them.

Headdresses are easily one of the most popular items right now and have been for a few years. They look good on almost any animal, they're rare, and they come in a variety of colors. They were originally released for the Feast of Thanks in November 2011, and that was the only year headdresses were for sale. They haven't returned to stores since, and when asked what the reason is behind it, AJHQ says that they may be offensive to Jammers with a Native American background or culture.

So, today I am going to be asking a few random people and some buddies of mine what they think of headdresses. Without any further ado, let's begin!

The first person I interviewed was a flamingo named Rosy Peachyplum. She was pro headdresses, but didn't really go into detail as to why she stands where she stands. Oh well!

The next lucky Jammer is a horse named Queen Faircheetah. You can tell she's a pretty big ''bean''. Anyways, Queen thinks headdresses are amazing, and she doesn't believe they have the ability to offend anyone.

The third person is a great friend of mine named Henry. Henry likes how headdresses look, but he also thinks their rarity is messed up. I agree with everything he said here. When items get popular, their values tend to go up and down a lot, and you can never really be sure what they're worth.

The final Jammer to be interviewed is another one of my good blogging buddies named Ja. She said that headdresses are good. I know she said more than just this, but my screenshots got deleted somehow and I can't quite remember what else she talked about. Ja, if you're reading this, feel free to help me out! :P

At first, I was honestly a bit surprised with the results I got. Everyone said positive things about headdresses. I was expecting a little more variety with the answers, but after pondering about it for a short while, I realized that these results are actually kind of normal, with how popular headdresses are.

Now it's your turn! Give me your opinion on headdresses. Leave it in the comment section down below! I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading. That's the whip!
