VidCon 2016 - The Year of AJ YouTubers

Hi Jammers! c: It's the last week of school for me! Yay! Now onto the post...

Have you ever heard of VidCon?

VidCon is basically a convention where a bunch of famous YouTubers and fans get together and mingle. On VidCon's website, it reads: Online video has become a massive cultural force, launching careers and communities and creations of all sort. VidCon exists as the largest gathering of people who love and are a part of this new culture.

So, if you go to VidCon, you will probably get to meet famous YouTubers like Tyler Oakley, Jenna Marbles, PewDiePie, Shane Dawson, and more!

But this year's VidCon is going to be extra special, because AJHQ invited a few very lucky Animal Jam YouTubers to go to VidCon, with all expenses paid!

If you go to VidCon, you might be able to meet famous Jammers like Aparri, bepper, snowyclaw, Twinkle0122, and a couple others! :O IN REAL LIFE!

I kind of wish I could go to VidCon, but that's highly unlikely for two main reasons:

1) I'm not a famous YouTuber
2) Tickets are way too expensive

VidCon 2016 will take place in Anaheim, California, and starts on June 23rd and lasts until June 25th. ^.^

I'd actually rather go to Disneyland than VidCon, but that's just my opinion. :P It would be so cool to meet Aparri and the rest of the gang though!

Thanks for reading! Keep on whippin'!

  1. I wish I could go but I'd have to pay for a flight from the UK to California x.x
I'm selling tons of stuff in ebay soon which will be about £300 but I wouldn't want to spend it all on one day of meeting youtubers XD
Maybe one day we'll all be rich or famous enough to go... (insert Zootropolis quotes here)

  3. ~Unpopular opinion time~ I don't really like Aparri, Bepper, Twinkle0122, ect. My reason? In my mind, i think "Why worship them if they don't know nor care about me?" Besides, I like the smaller youtubers more (My favorite being Nickyg23) because it's easy to relate and connect to them. They're humble, and don't get overly swarmed during streams. I trust i can say my opinion on here, because I think Nafaria has made a nice, kind, community.

    5. Wow Bonecrushinfwolf! Not all more famous jammers are bad. We "worship" them because the out a lot more effort into their videos the these "smaller you tubers "

    6. AHEM.

I'm not going to go into too much detail about this, but Snowy has not only SCAMMED Meloetta365 (also known as Mayksufi, WitchHatBunny and LoveLost), but she has also been caught talking to Taxe (a very famous hacker) in private. Not only that, but prior to 2014, she owned a pair of unreleased light purple gazelle horns that had never been sold in stores.

Snowy's not so perfect now, is she?

Also, not only has Aparri been known to scam, he's been known to HACK. On his previous account 7, he generated in various rare and unreleased items and has been caught bragging about selling Founders Hats on iTunes for 50$.

    7. Snowyclaw scammed Meloetta? And talked to a hacker? First time I'm hearing about this, though I must admit I'm not very caught up in the YouTube world.
Honestly, though, are ALL famous AJ YouTubers untrustworthy?!

    8. Oh no. I knew it. This is going to start a war, I can feel it coming. I'll just delete my comment up there, not argue back, and hopefully everything will blow over. I wasn't trying to be offensive, I promise!

    9. I deleted it. It's gone. Pretend I never said any of that. I'm so sorry if that was offensive!

    12. Sorry if I sounded rude, but I know Meloetta very well personally, and that stuff just kind of gets on my nerves. I used to be a fan of hers until Mel posted about the scam in late 2013 (the post/confession has since been removed). That, and 8-year-old me kinda freaked out over Snowyclaw "scooping" me out of the unreleased kangaroos and having my images (being completely original) having no discussion whatsoever. That's why I quit AJ blogging: Nobody gives the small bloggers any attention. It took me several months to get 1,000 views. I tried to make my posts as original as possible. I had a few fans, but that was all I had.

    13. It is perfectly fine. I know you were just speaking the truth, so I understand.
Also, I understand the small-bloggers part too. I'm one of those people. Though I really wish you still blogged, your posts sound entertaining to me!

    14. Snowy? Meloetta? You are lying (sorry to sound blunt) I saw a post saying how that was fake.

  4. That sounds so COOL!!! :O If only I lived closer and the tickets were a good price, I'd totally wanna go! Maybe my mind is blown because AJ doesn't want Jammers to meet in real life and now they go around inviting people to see each other in real! O.o :o Anyhoo, it sounds epic!

  5. Amazing! Did you learn that from Bepper's channel?

  8. Sadly I'd never be able to go to that, too expensive and my mom would be all " NO." :P

  9. Why does Aparri have over 600,000 subscribers? His videos are just really "meh", and I don't know why these AJ YouTubers even get to GO to VidCon. They post exclusively about a very poor "educational" childrens game that they really shouldn't be playing, and likely the only reason they are going to VidCon is because AJHQ believes that their popularity is masking the fact that AJ is secretly a horrible game so that more people will play it and buy membership and merchandise. I think those YouTubers CAN be funny sometimes, but it really shocks me on how some of my personal favourite YouTubers have only 200,000 subscribers (that's still a lot!) and the mediocre Aparri has over 600,000 and yet those other YouTubers STILL have a bigger and more diverse online fanbase!

Not saying those YouTubers are bad per se, but I really don't believe that they should be attending such a big event like VidCon. Does snowyclaw still have any real fans anymore? I haven't heard anything from her in a while, and her den is almost always empty.

If I ever get a YouTube channel, I will make a video exclusively talking about how bad Animal Jam is so that some people will decide that "You know what? Maybe this game just isn't what all those popular YouTubers make it out to be!"

    1. 100% what I was thinking, Bally! I don't really watch Animal Jam videos anymore because they're all unoriginal. It's hard to come up with original material these days though. And I can't believe it's been less than 2 months since Aparri hit 100K subs and now he has 160K subs!? O.O

I like to watch REAL YouTubers like Miranda Sings, GloZell, PsychoSoprano, HelloMaphie, Karina Garcia, and more. They make super entertaining videos!

    2. As a Aparri fan, I'm gonna back him up. HE POSTS DAILY. DAILY means everyday. He takes time everyday for his fans. The pressure of posting daily is hard. People don't understand that it takes time to find something even mildly interesting and to make a vid about it. If you notice any famous jammer vid, they are edited as well. Editing is pretty complicated. Espacilly on a computer. People may argue he is it in for the rates but, he gives longs away DAILY. And for boringness, AJ is just kinda boring. Real you tubers can expand into so many topics. Could u make a AJ vid about Sakura trees? No, if you did, it would be boring and confusing. AJ, I agree, could be better. Especially for new jammers. Considering many other games out there, like Webkinz or Club Penguin, AJ is a much better game. Webkinz is nothing more then a daily spin. " COME AGAIN TOMORROW TO PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN, GET ALL THE GEMS FOR A PRIZE," Club Penguin gives no one any rights. Unless u pay them. AJ is not that bad of a game.

    3. Let me explain my AJ is a bad game:

-Lack of proper security (meaning you can get hacked very easily)

-Lack of moderation (scammers, hackers, and bullies cannot get properly reported)

-extreme lack of social interaction features avaliable to nonmembers (I'm fine with not having all items avaliable to nonmembers, but having an entire CHAT SETTING removed? Being unable to type in own messages in Jam-A-Grams even though members have been supposedly only testing it? FOR FOUR YEARS? Being unable to send and receive gifts? Not having access to chat respost and chat logs?!)

-Outright stupid decisions made (such as removing Headresses from stores for "cultural respect" instead of ENTIRELY REMOVING THEM FROM THE GAME, thus causing them to become an overrated and incredibly popular item, increasing amounts of scamming and hacking, which go unmoderated)

-Horrible updates (often adding no noteworthy new features, taking away more than it gives, or just repeating news altogether)

-A lack of a diverse community (Bloggers and YouTubers make unoriginal posts, roleplays are almost always too violent and intense for kids to partake in, nonmembers and members constantly bias and bully each other, a majority of the game's players being scammers and/or hackers, etc.)

-Overuse of the Diamond Shop (new animals are always Member and in the Diamond Shop, new dens are always Member and in the Diamond Shop, new pets are always Member and in the Diamond Shop or only obtainable buy buying Membership in a specific month, yadda yadda ya. Why don't we just get rid of the Diamond Shop altogether? Nobody likes it anymore.)

Even Club Penguin has a new party everyone can attend every month with new minigames and most prizes avaliable to everyone, a choice of two different kinds of Puffle (pet), an accessory avaliable at the very beginning to customize said pet, to ability to feed, groom, and play with your pet and a lot more inventive and kid-friendly of a fanbase. How many of those does AJ have?

    4. Its 100,000 not 600,000 XD
I'm personally not an Aparri fan. The only reason he has so many subs is because of his giveaways. But I'm not going into his 7 business. By now I'm pretty sure he's redeem himself.
Even though I ♡ love Wisteriamoon's and PinkEmpress' videos, and occasionally even watch Bepper, Twinkle and Lilac (and Snowy's speed den edits-even if... Ya know.. Ya cant deny she's amazing at den decorating)
I honestly feel Kinztube is better then AJtube. Why? Because everyone's like a family, no matter how different they are. However in the AJjam community, its always DRAMA. Well, not everyone is involved, and if you steer clear of certain jammers you will be fine, but its still awful.

I'm not saying Kinztube is all hail the amazing webkinz lovers however. There's still certain similarities to the bad things in the AJ community (signature Siberian huskies=light pink headdresses) but nobody seems to complain, and apart from the odd spoiled brat, its pretty great.

I don't mean to offend either AJTube OR Kinztube, but I hope you get where I'm coming from.

  11. I'm gonna back track to Club Penguin. Maybe it has gotten better since I last played but, all I really noticed was the lack of nice items easily achieved. It would take a long to time to nicely decorate a den or make a good look. This, actually, kinda violates are freedom of expressing our opinions, ideas, etc. What I look for in a game/other is my ability to easily constumize it as my own. Back when I TRIED Club Penguin, there was a lack of items for Nms. The new Frozen party was around. I went there and do u know what I saw? A not could not buy a single item from BOTH the Anna or Elsa outfits. If u wanna talk about a GREAT game. Talk about Bearvillie. I loved Bearville. There was no such thing as a "member". Sure, the store with special diamonds that were achieved by buying a real Build a Bear item were unfair but, there was no other restrictions. You could have as many "Bears" as u could get. Money was a little hard to get but, if u had a garden, money was practically free, since it was free. Houses were constumize let much more then AJ dens or CP Igloos. You could buy as many of one room u wanted. Have 7 kitchens and no dinning room. It was YOUR choice. Also, the game had a BANK. WHERE U STORE GEMS AND GET INTEREST. GENIUS OR WHAT? You actually be hired as a waiter/waitress. You could buy "food" at the cafe. Waiters would actually be PAID for serving this food. There was a recycling center as well as a YMCA sort of place. THERE WAS A EVEN A SCHOOL. YOU COULD GET HIRED AS A TEACHER OR BE A STUDENT FOR ANY GRADE AND SUBJECT. Free items appeared too.Around Halloween I got 30 free candy corn piles. I remember u could eat them but I am unaware if ur person or ur 'bear" ate them. Also, some interactive den items could be eaten by ur "bear". Such as a basket of apples. Options on going to the bathroom and going to bed needed to be filled for your "bear" Another pawesome thing was a actually playlist of songs that played as u were in Bearville. There was even a CRUISE AND TRAIN RIDE U COULD GO ON. Carnivals, Haunted Houses, etc appeared around holidays. There was a library for u to to read old editions of their Newspaper. There was a radio place or something where u could talk with a animated player who was supposedly a celebrity during select times. I could go on but I wanna stop. Bearville was the IDEAL game. So much to do. So many great ideas. Too bad Bearville closed. I still have a link to the login page I look at every once in while...
