Mysterious Tools Icon

Hey Jammers! ^.^

Have you ever looked at old screenshots of the beta times? If you'd like to, you can do so by clicking on the "Beta" tab just below the blog's header. :)

Well, as I was scrolling through some of these pictures, I noticed something quite interesting that I wanted to share with you guys.

In this picture, you can see a row of buttons. I'm sure you are all familiar with the modern-day buttons, but these buttons are from way back in early 2010.

There are seven of these buttons, and only two of them are colored in. The ones that are dark and shaded have not yet been made available. These include the Jamaa Journal, achievements, what appears to be the Journey Book, and Jam-A-Grams.

But then there is one button with a shovel and pickaxe that are both intersecting each other. Obviously this button did not make it past the beta stage, because the button is no longer located there today. You can, however, find this icon in one of Animal Jam's apps, Tunnel Town.

The big question is, what was its purpose? Why was it even there in the first place? o.0

It may have had something to do with editing, or perhaps adventures.

So, what do YOU think this button is for?

Leave your thoughts in the comments. ^.^ Bye!

  1. Maybe it was used to uncover "fossils" -.-(Misterfrizzy)

  2. Maybe it was how to edit your den because there wasn't an "Edit Den" button in your den back then? There probably WAS, though...
Wait, did you see, on Meloetta's blog, that post about the adventure tools that were unreleased? Maybe the adventure tools were going to be tested in the Beta days, and that was the icon for it?
