Blogging Tips

Hello! ^.^ Happy Friday the 13th... ooh, spooky!

Today's post was requested by my friend Harmonypurr9! She asked for some blogging tips, so I am here to give you some! I'm not the best at giving tips to people, but I'll try. :p So, without further ado, I bring you five blogging tips!

1. Mechanics and Conventions

Use good grammar, proper spelling and punctuation, and capitalize correctly for effective, easy-to-read posts that will keep your readers coming back for more and more! n0b0di wonts 2 c A p0st rritin leik diz, ok? :I

2. Be Original

You don't like it when your hard work is put to waste all because some idiot decided to copy and claim your content, right? Be original with your posts. You can most certainly get inspiration from someone else, but if you copy their work word-for-word or steal their stories or pictures or whatever, make sure to get permission from them or give credit to them. It agitates me when I see information I discovered and having some stupid moron go ahead and take it and claim it to be theirs. D:<
Sometimes it's hard to come up with original posts 24/7, so it's okay if you don't want to make a new post every single day of the week.

3. Have a Clean, Inviting Template

In order to intrigue new visitors, you must stun them with an awesome template. Your template is what your blog looks like - the background, the header, how everything is organized and fits onto the page, etc. Be yourself and design your blog the way you'd like to! Spice up the font, give your blog and little pizzazz...
If you need a quick tutorial on how to add a certain gadget or how to function a Blogger tool, leave a comment! :)

4. Get Involved

The best way to get viewers is by getting involved with the Animal Jam community. View other blogs and comment on their posts. If their blog has a "More Blogs" or "Other Blogs" or something like that page, it's always a good idea to take advantage of that page by asking if the owner can add your blog to the page. That way, more people will click on the link that will lead them to your blog which means more viewers which means more traffic and publicity! Yay! XD

5. NEVER Give Up

Believe it or not, when I first started the Animal Jam Whip in 2012, I barely got any views. Heck, I didn't even reach 1,000 views until spring 2013! Reaching 1,000 views was a huge accomplishment for me, so of course I decided to hold a party. Much to my dismay, not a single person showed up. I wanted to quit blogging for good, but then I realized I had a passion for it. Deep down inside, I want to continue. And so I did, and look where I am now! :D
If you start a blog and quit a week later because you hadn't reached one million views yet, blogging is obviously not your thing, and I expect you to find something else you enjoy doing.
It might not seem like it, but blogging is a difficult path, especially if none of your friends are bloggers to help you gain popularity. However, I chose that difficult path and overcame it, and I'm still overcoming it today. c:

So there you go! Five blogging tips. I hope you guys liked my tips, and I hope you all grow a passion for something in your life, even if it isn't blogging. ^.^

Speaking of passions, why not comment down below what YOU love to do?

Thanks for reading. Bye Jammers!

  2. Nice tips, but there is actually no way my blog is going to even gain 5 followers. I know that I sound dramatic now, but really. I've been trying since 2014 and things haven't worked out for me yet. I'll tell you one thing, I love blogging but seeing that no one really views my blog, it's just really a waste of time.
Anyways, I wanted to say this for so long. I love how your posts are not "item" posts. It's really boring seeing only item posts pop up on my Blogger dashboard. You do different things in your posts and that is just really amazing.

Before you make a comment, please consider using these rules. If any of them are disobeyed, your comment will be deleted immediately.

1. No swearing. The Animal Jam Whip needs to be kept a clean, safe environment for everyone to enjoy.
2. No rude/hateful/inappropriate/consistently negative or degrading comments. Even if it's just your opinion, anything unkind you say can be very hurtful.
3. No spamming. Spamming takes up space and makes the comment area/chat area messy.
4. No impersonating.
5. If you are commenting anonymously, please sign with your main username.
