Animal Jam Secret Valentines: Good or Bad?

Hey Jammers! Welcome to the Animal Jam Whip blog. Today, we're going to be having a little bit of a debate.

Just in time for the Friendship Festival this year, AJHQ added something quite unique to the game - something we hadn't ever seen before: Secret Valentines.

During the month of February 2018 (which, by the way, is almost over), you have the option to send a letter as either a regular JAG or a Secret Valentine. If you choose to send it as a Secret Valentine, the receiver will not know you sent the letter to them because the tag where your username normally is will be replaced by ''Secret Valentine''. It's pretty self-explanatory, really.

Secret Valentines are a great way to send kind messages or gifts to other Jammers without them knowing who sent them it. Take a look at this super nice Secret Valentine I received a couple of weeks ago. This acts as an example of the proper way to use the Secret Valentine method.

However, sometimes Jammers will take advantage of the Secret Valentines and misuse them to send rude messages to others. The picture above is an example of this. Personally, I thought the letter was actually quite hilarious, but you never know if someone might take your words to offense.

The problem here is that you can't see who sent you the message, so if you wanted to report or block them, you're out of luck, thus bringing me to the whole point of this post: are Secret Valentines good or bad?

In my opinion, I believe it all depends on how you use it, but I'd like to know what you guys think.

That's all for now. Make sure to leave a comment telling me your thoughts on Secret Valentines!

Bye Jammers!

  1. "your masterpiece says craft that is macaroni"
    Wow
"that helmet isn't even worth a wrist stop trying to rip people off"
(referring to the leap year helmet, which is worth 2 black longs)
    Wow
    "your look is scary"
    Your secret jag is scary
    "fandom r poop"
    (my personal favourite)
    "your art is gross"
    Thanks

Some of the lovely jags I have received.

Personally I have turned jags to buddies only until this event ends. AJHQ really didn't think this over.

  2. Listen, as a very shy young boy, I think that the secret valentine system is wonderful. With it, I can confess my true love for my Animal Jam crush without feeling embarrassed.

  3. "Ughly and stinky chin hair" oh my XDD
But I actually received one that was a violenet threat, it was weird
I think AJHQ didn't think it through, like Kraft said, so its both good and bad

  4. Well, with anonymity comes power. These people can say whatever they want, without any backlash. I do suggest switching your JAGs over to "Buddies Only", so you're probably only going to get nice messages. I did have quite a bit of fun with this, though, running around Jamaa and picking random people to send boxes of chocolates to. :D

But I hate how people are using it for being rude. :1
