You've probably heard of snowyclaw, an avid jammer, who runs the most popular AJ blog, Animal Jam Spirit. You can visit her blog in the Other Jammers' Blogs! tab. She also runs an important movement called the Jamaasian Movement. This is about spreading the legend of Jamaa and culture. But this little post isn't about any blog-it's about Spirit Stones.
Have you heard of the legend and culture of Jamaa? Well, then, I suppose I should tell the ones who don't know of such a thing....
The StoryAnd so it was that the Sky Father was named Zios. He
created many stars and planets, and set them in motion. But after eons of
creation, he became lonely. So he created the Sky Mother, a grey heron, and
named her Mira.
Mira was beautiful and kind and they were very happy
together. She loved Zios deeply and often told him how talented he was,
encouraging him to create. Together, Zios and Mira created their masterpiece: a
lush land filled with oceans, mountains, meadows, and all kinds of plants and
animals. They named this special world Jamaa, and for hundreds of years, the
world and its animals were at peace.
But today, all is not well in Jamaa. A mysterious dark
force has crept into the land, stealing away animals and ruining the beauty of
Jamaa. Only you can help save the animals and restore the world to its glory.
Please help, for you are Jamaa's only hope.
Now that you understand The Story, it is time to reveal a part of the legend-that only 4-5 jammers out of more than 10,000,000 know about.
You may ask yourself this tiny question with a big, fun answer: what did Mira and Zios, the Sky Father and Mother, use to make the animals we see every day in Jamaa?
The answer is quite simple-Spirit Stones. This may be you: ?
. .
~
Well, if that IS you, then below will make you less questioning. If you walk into the last bit of Jamaa's ancient culture from way back in time, you will end up in the Chamber of Knowledge. Don't go any further than the first floor, though. Now, look at the shelf right next to the shelf where you can climb up on the ladder and "look for books".....
Do you see the stones on the second shelf? These are what we recall Spirit Stones. Each animal has its own Spirit Stone. These stones are what makes life in Jamaa, namely, the animals. In early newspapers, each time a new animal was a available, it would include the phrase of Spirit Stone.
As you can see, the shamans use to set out for new Spirit Stones. (BTW, I bet the new land is Mt. Shiveer, and the new animal is a seal.) But suddenly....
The namage of the Spirit Stones faded away.
If AJHQ wants to let go the culture of Jamaa and let it be a simple game and all they do is to make things more "fun" and let go the legends of Jamaa and only care about money, then Mira will only be a statue in Jamaa, which will make even MORE jammers think that she is just a bird that is what AJ's favorite animal or something. That makes me wonder, if you are going to take the pop quiz contest on Jamaa's history, then the story of how Jamaa was created is the best clue you can get.
Please. Please bring back the legends of Jamaa. If you have a blog, please post about this. It will make AJ a cooler place to visit. Maybe some jammers will think that the legends are way cool that they'll want to join, and AJHQ will make more money once they get into Membership and those other fun things. It's for the good of both of us.
You are Jamaa's only hope.
